Meloplasty (Facelift)
With ageing, the skin looses its elasticity and stretches. In the face, this produces skin creases and folds, jowls and loose skin, and fat in the neck.
Several types of facelift procedures can relieve these ageing features, by removal of excess skin, suspension of the underlying muscles (SMAS) and rebuilding the supporting ligamentous structures for long lasting improvement.

Short Scar Facelift (MACS lift)
A traditional facelift is required when the ageing process is well advanced, particularly where there are significant changes in the neck, such as vertical muscle bands, excessive fat or loose skin. For younger patients, a newer technique has been developed. The Minimal Access Cranial Suspension (MACS) lift produces an excellent cosmetic result with a minimal surgical dissection, leading to rapid recovery and an earlier return to activity with an incision that does not extend behind the ear and into the hairline.

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid lift)
The eyes are the first facial feature people observe and unfortunately they are also one of the first to show the signs of ageing. Ageing is an irreversible, relentless process of tissue degeneration resulting in loss of elasticity and stretching of skin
Whilst the eyes themselves are expressionless, the eyelids are very important indicators of our emotions. When heavy and baggy they portray a tired look; if hooded with loose skin, an aged look; if elongated and almond shaped with a smooth contour, a fresh youthful look.

Otoplasty (Prominent ears)
Prominent ears can be a social problem for children and young adults. To correct this deformity, the cartilage of the ear is reshaped and remodeled through incisions hidden in the crease behind the ear.

Rhinoplasty (Nose job)
Remodelling an unattractive or damaged nose can revolutionise the appearance and restore the confidence of any patient. At the same time, breathing problems and sinus issues can be corrected to result in a healthier and more attractive patient.
Pre-operative computerized imaging is used routinely to assist the patient in the selection of the desired result.

Foreheadplasty (Browlift)
Foreheadplasty is indicated for patients with heavy droopy eyebrows and excessive transverse forehead creases. It is the procedure of choice to relieve crows feet at the outer eyelid areas. Performed endoscopically, through small incisions behind the hairline, it provides enormous improvement in the appearance of the upper face with no visible scarring. The angry, scowling look of eyebrow descent and the tired sad expression of excess eyelid skin can be instantly relieved.

Laser resurfacing
There are multiple techniques available to resurface sun-damaged skin or skin suffering from the effects of ageing or inflammation (such as acne). Historically, various peels or dermabrasion were used. However, for more significant skin damage, the modern utilities of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Fractionated Laser or even Carbon Dioxide Laser have been shown to be effective. Our clinic has at its disposal, the full range of treatment options. Consultation with our expert team will identify the best approach to the improvement of your skin.

Breast
Breast Augmentation (Breast enlargement)
Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgical procedures. An artificial implant, made of silicone in some form, is introduced behind the breast to increase its projection and enlarge the breast size. It has been proven to be a safe procedure. Dr Olbourne prefers to introduce the implant through a small incision high in the armpit, thereby leaving no tell-tale scars on the breast at all.

Breast Reduction
Breast reduction, also known as reduction mammaplasty, is designed for women with large, pendulous breasts which often cause medical or psychological problems. Dr Olbourne prefers to use the Lejour reduction mammaplasty, which provides an excellent, long lasting shape with the absolute minimum of scars.

Mastopexy (Breast repositioning)
Pendulous or droopy breasts can be improved by Mastopexy, an operation designed to reposition and reshape the breasts on the chest. It is an operation for ladies who are happy with their breast size, but whose breasts fall to the floor when their brassiere is removed. Dr Olbourne uses the Lejour technique to reshape the breasts - a technique that delivers a permanent shape with minimal scars.

Nipple reconstruction
Following the removal of the breast for malignancy, reconstructive rehabilitation requires the formation of a new breast bulge to match the unaffected side. Both nipple and areola can be reconstructed by a combination of surgery and tattoing to achieve an excellent match with the nipple areolar complex of the untreated breast.

Gynaecomastia (Man 'boobs')
Gynaecomastia describes an unsightly enlargement of the male breast. It can be caused by an abnormality of hormone levels, secondary to a tumour, or to increased ingestion of various hormones by body builders. However, in most cases, the cause of the condition is idiopathic (that means unknown). The treatment is surgical. Often excision of the swelling is performed through a tiny incision along the areola of the nipple leaving an imperceptible scar. In many instances, liposuction is useful as a treatment option. Ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL) is available in Dr Olbourne's practice and is very successful in treating this embarrassing condition.

Body Contouring
Abdominoplasty (Tummy tuck)
Abdominoplasty is an operation designed to improve the shape and contour of the abdomen. Each of the relevant layers requires attention. The muscle layer, stretched by obesity or pregnancy, is tightened. The fat is removed by excision or liposuction and the excess skin is excised in a manner that hides the scar beneath the underwear.

Ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL)
Liposuction is used to resculpture localized collections of fatty tissue. A mechanical treatment, it often causes discomfort and bruising. Ultrasound energy can be harvested to rupture the wall of the fat cell and release the contained fat which is then vacuumed away with an aspirator. This technique is less traumatic and painful than regular liposuction and results in less bruising and a more rapid return to normal activities.
