Practice Locations
The Sydney Institute of Plastic Surgery is situated at Chatswood where it was established in 1975. For the convenience of our patients, satellite clinics have been established at Mona Vale, Randwick and Erina Fair where consultations can be scheduled.
Surgical procedures are conducted at Carswell Clinic (Chatswood) - the licenced and accredited day procedure centre operated by the Sydney Institute of Plastic Surgery. Where appropriate, in-patient treatment is available at hospitals of the highest quality and where the facilities are considered to be commensurate with the standards set by the Institute for its patients. These include:
- North Shore Private Hospital
- Dalcross Private Hospital
- Prince of Wales Private Hospital
The appropriate location for your surgery is determined by a variety of factors, including:
- The type of operation you choose
- The complexity of the procedure
- Where you live
- The quality and availability of support for you after discharge from the facility
- Your insurance status - to select the most economical option for your hospitalisation
- Any specific requirements for instrumentation or facilities that are imposed by the specific procedure
Patients having an operation at the Carswell Clinic can usually expect to be discharged after treatment. If it is not feasible or desirable to return home, the Institute does have a range of options for alternate care. |
