Our Facility

The Sydney Institute of Plastic Surgery operates the Carswell Clinic at 7 Help Street, Chatswood. The clinic is a Day Surgery Centre licenced by the NSW Department of Health (Licence No: DC060) and accredited by the ISO 9001:2000. This accreditation process is exhaustive and ongoing. The Carswell Clinic has been accredited since 1991 and provides a state-of-the-art facility where appropriate procedures can be treated on a day stay basis.

Where it is felt that for reasons of patient safety and comfort the planned procedure is best performed in an inpatient environment, all arrangements will be made as part of the pre-operative admission planning process.

Dr Olbourne, our principal surgeon, is accredited to operate at some of the premier private institutions in Sydney. These include:

• North Shore Private Hospital
• Mater Misericordae Private Hospital
• Prince of Wales Private Hospital
• Dalcross Private Hospital

The choice of surgical venue will be subject to a range of factors including the age and health of the patient and the length and complexity of the procedure. At all times, the comfort and welfare of the patient will be the primary consideration.
